The Regional and Urban Planners Society of Nepal is a professional association dedicated to promoting the sustainable development of Nepal's cities and regions. Our members work to ensure that urban planning and development projects are aligned with the needs of local communities and the broader goals of sustainable development. Through our advocacy, education, and networking initiatives, we aim to build a stronger, more resilient future for Nepal's cities and regions.
Mission and Aim
RUPSON's mission is to strengthen and uphold the urban and regional planning profession and its values. The society seeks to better human wellbeing as an integral component of ecological communities. To achieve its goals, RUPSON strives to become a leading Policy Think Tank and Innovation Hub.
The society aims to promote a deeper understanding of human settlements and the urban sector's role in national development. RUPSON is committed to contributing to policy research and knowledge production, promoting innovation and know-how, providing quality planning education, offering trainings and mentorship opportunities, developing partnerships and fellowships, and advocating for the profession's professional recognition.
Intended Functions
